Tragic news for the extended Dallas Cowboys family to report this evening.

According to multiple reports, former Cowboys Pro Bowl RB Marion Barber was discovered deceased in his Frisco apartment by law enforcement during a welfare check. He was only 38 years of age, and was going to turn 39 later this month on June 10.

According to police, no signs of foul play have been found, though a cause of death hasn't been released.

Not long after the news was confirmed, the Cowboys released the following statement:

He was drafted out of Minnesota by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft, and would suit up for them for six seasons; he'd earn a Pro Bowl nomination in 2007 after rushing for 975 yards that season.

He would later join the Chicago Bears in 2011. He would finish his NFL career having amassed a total of 4,780 yards rushing and 53 touchdowns.
