Kareem Hunt requests trade, but Browns tell him to pound sand!
The Browns gave their answer to Hunt loud and clear!
The Cleveland Browns are already behind the 8-ball on the offensive side of the ball given the fact that quarterback Deshaun Watson will be missing at least the first six games of the season with a suspension; that length of time could soon be extended thanks to the NFL's appeal of the suspension.
And now, more turmoil has been added to the franchise. RB Kareem Hunt, who recently returned to practice after initially sitting out, has requested a trade out of Cleveland. However, the Browns declined his request.
Meanwhile, head coach Kevin Stefanski has decided not to talk about the situation with media members.
"I'm not going to get into really anything that has to do with our players and conversations," he said.
Hunt finished last season with 386 yards and five touchdowns; he missed nine games with lower body injuries; he led them with 11 touchdowns during the 2020 season. He's in the final year of a two year, $12 million contract.
