It was a shocking story that occurred last year, as former Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins was killed after being struck by a dump truck while walking on Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene; he was only 24 years of age.
And now, it's been announced that the estate of Haskins has come to a "partial" settlement with the driver of the truck that fatally struck him, as well as its owner and broker.
Haskins, who played collegiately with the Buckeyes, would be drafted by the Washington Football Team in 2019 before signing with the Steelers in 2021.
