Major change coming to Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders show!
It's the first time in 16 years.
Fans have been entertained by the iconic Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad for decades, and have also been treated to watching an annual documentary series in which women try out for a spot on the legendary lineup. And for the last 16 years, the show has aired on Country Music Television - until now.
The show will be changing networks, though no specific new home for the show has been decided upon.
‘Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team’ first debuted on CMT in 2005, and has since become a favorite for not only Dallas Cowboys fans, but for many around the country. However, their partnership with the channel has come to an end, as the show looks for a new home. “We could never have anticipated the outpouring of admiration and support from our fans and friends over the 16 Seasons on CMT’s Making the Team. The global impact on our brand and the beautiful journeys of amazing performers and teammates have been amazing,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Director Kelli Finglass.
Negotiations are underway for a new network for the popular series to air on.
"My hope is to continue their stories with our fans more globally, as we are in the process of negotiating a new partnership and we look forward to continuing to feature the DCC on a new platform," Finglass said.
