Cowboys LB Micah Parsons explains what motivates him!

We're looking forward to bigger and better things from Parsons in 2022!

Michael W.

It was an incredible season for Dallas Cowboys rookie LB Micah Parsons, who became the first NFL rookie to have recorded 75-plus tackles and 10-plus sacks in the last 25 seasons.

And he was rewarded for his efforts in a big way, making NFL history by becoming the first unanimous choice for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, as well as earning a Pro-Bowl selection after he amassed 84 tackles and 13 sacks in 2021. And he's already looking ahead to even bigger and better things in his second NFL season.

So what is it that keeps him motivated?

"The thing that keeps me driving is just my competitive nature," Parsons explained. "You look at all the great players like MJ, you look at LeBron and Kobe, they always have this drive to do something bigger than what was ever done before. Bringing a Super Bowl is where my mind's at, and that's what drives me. And personally what I want to do for my family and this team and what I know I can accomplish with my abilities, so that's what drives me. We talk all the time about so much talent of youth and older kids that just go to waste, and I don't want to go to waste. I just want to be an example. That's what drives me for my city and my family."

We're looking forward to seeing what Parsons accomplishes next season!
