The NFL recently introduced a rule that would allow players to wear the jersey number 0, and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons gave fans a bit of a scare when he teased that he could be changing from the jersey No. 11 that he's worn so far in his productive career.
"Im switching!! Agent 0 coming soon!" Parsons initially tweeted.
However, it will be safety Jayron Kearse who gets to wear the number, and he made sure to let his teammate know about it on Twitter.
"Too late lol" Kearse replied in jest.
So car in his career, Parsons has earned two Pro Bowl selections, earned two First-Team All-Pro nods and won 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Had Parsons in fact switched his number, he'd have been responsible for purchasing the remaining inventory of his current numbered jerseys, according to NFL rules.
