The Dallas Cowboys earned themselves hard-fought victory last night at AT&T Stadium, taking down the visiting Seattle Seahawks by a 27-26 final score and officially wrapping up the preseason before the regular season begins.

Despite posting a total of 286 yards, Dallas was able to overtake Seattle as quarterback Will Grier threw for 88 yards and two touchdowns over the course of the evening.

"I thought Will did some really good things. I thought he struggled early, missed some throws. Once he settled in, made some plays, made some plays with his feet. It was just great to get him out there. He was having a really good camp. I thought he had some really good practices before the injury. He definitely gave us a lot to look at and a lot to evaluate."

The Cowboys were also able to force Seattle into turnover trouble.

"Definitely, starting with ball security, that's obviously a priority for everyone in the game of football," head coach Mike McCarthy said afterwards. "To have the takeaways and protect the football, I thought we did a great job. It's always refreshing when you emphasize, and you see the hard work that these men put into the team fundamental drills and so forth. I thought our guys did an excellent job of taking the ball away tonight."

The Cowboys will open the regular season schedule once again against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, September 11.
