Mike Tomlin was named the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2007, some 16 years ago. He's one of the longest tenured head coaches in NFL history, and he's guided the Steelers to many memorable moments over the course of his career. He's 157-91-2, along with an 8-9 postseason record that includes two Super Bowl victories.

But currently, the Steelers are mired in a losing season that can be chalked up to injuries to key players as well as the rough initial transition from Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger to Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback.

Could he actually be traded? Don't be surprised to see it happen, per Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. During his regularly scheduled appearance on 93.7 The Fan’s PM Team/w Poni & Mueller, Florio floated the following idea regarding a coaching trade:

“I don’t think teams do that enough,” Florio said about trading coaches. “It happened a couple of times in the past decade. We know it’s going to happen with Sean Payton at some point. I’m talking about trading for a guy like Jon Gruden with the Raiders, Buccaneers come in with a couple of first-round picks, boom they do the deal. There was compensation for Herm Edwards, compensation for Bruce Arians who was already retired by the Arizona Cardinals. It wouldn’t surprise me if (David) Tepper does it.”

This would certainly be a massive upheaval for the Steelers. Does it stand a chance of happening?
