Mike Tomlin has major expectation for Kenny Pickett!
Can't wait to see it happen!

The Pittsburgh Steelers had themselves a new starting quarterback in the form of 1st round draft pick Kenny Pickett, who took over from the struggling veteran Mitchell Trubisky earlier in the 2022 NFL season.
And while it wasn't the smoothest of transitions, Pickett would eventually find his way and helped to lead the Steelers to the verge of a postseason spot. Unfortunately, despite the winning record of 9-8, the Steelers would fall just short of qualifying for the postseason for the first time in three years. And you can bet they'll be aiming to make a return to the playoffs in 2023 led by Pickett.
And for head coach Mike Tomlin, he's understandably got some major expectations for Pickett heading into his sophomore NFL season.
“I expect him to kill it,” Tomlin said last week during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show. “I’ll describe what I mean by that. It’s his second lap around the track. He’s no longer speculating in terms of what this business is about, what the job demands, what the challenges are, what the feel of then process is like, whether it’s getting ready for a season or getting ready for a week. He had all of that experience, and so I just think it’s reasonable for him to have significant growth in all areas with that understanding, to be more engaged in the process and have an opinion about the process, to be more comfortable in his own voice, because he has deep relationships with his teammates. He’s delivered for them some and so his credibility is there and so it’s reasonable to feel that comfort."
We're looking forward to seeing what Pickett can do in 2023!
