Najee Harris reportedly wants to leave Pittsburgh!
Reports indicate that he wants out.
The Pittsburgh Steelers declined to pick up the 5th year contract option on running back Najee Harris, leading to speculation that this could be the final year that he spends with the franchise.
And according to one particular Pittsburgh radio host, Harris actually requested the team not to pick up the option. 93.7 The Fan’s Paul Zeise stated that the request came from the player himself and that it wasn't the team's decision.
“Little birdie said Najee Harris actually asked for the Steelers to decline his fifth-year option because he would like to go play somewhere else,” Zeise said on The Joe Show.
Harris, whom the Steelers selected in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Alabama, has racked up an impressive 3,269 rushing yards along with 22 rushing touchdowns, 866 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns. He was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2021.
Are we witnessing the beginning of the end for Harris with the Steelers?
