New York Jets acquire QB Joe Flacco from Philadelphia Eagles!
The veteran is headed back to Florham Park.
New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson suffered a torn PCL during yesterday's blowout loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. He's projected to miss at least the next 2-4 weeks while he recovers.
And now, they've got his replacement. According to multiple reports, the Jets are re-acquiring quarterback Joe Flacco from the Philadelphia Eagles, and will be sending a conditional 6th round pick back to Philly in return:
The 36 year old Flacco threw for 864 yards last season with six touchdowns and three interceptions for the Jets; he suited up in five games for them in 2020 before signing with the Eagles this offseason. He appeared in exhibition play for the Eagles, but hasn't seen action in the regular season so far in 2021.
Flacco is a former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player with the Ravens; he's currently in his 14th professional season.
