Well, this is something that will likely cause a bit of satisfaction for fans of the Green Bay Packers who stood by and watched their former franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers string them along with a series of bizarre behavioral incidents and a highly publicized standoff with team management.
During warmups at the Jets’ OTA in Florham Park, N.J., Rodgers appeared to suffer a lower body injury and limped off the field to be checked out by team medical personnel. He would later be seen observing practice on his own from the sidelines.
However, Rodgers himself said afterward that he doesn't believe his ailment, later revealed to be a calf injury, to be of the serious variety.
"I just tweaked my calf in the little pre-practice conditioning," Rodgers told reporters Tuesday afternoon. "Take it by day."
Rodgers also added, "I don't think it's too serious."
This certainly could be an ominous beginning to Rodgers' tenure with the Jets after having spent nearly two decades with the Packers.
