Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during tonight’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals in what was truly a frightening scene. CPR was administered to Hamlin and he was soon taken via ambulance to a local hospital.

In the meantime, shortly after a prayer on the field, players from both teams were sent to their respective dressing rooms while a decision on the game was rendered. And now the decision is in.

The NFL has officially postponed the remainder of tonight’s game, while according to the League, Hamlin is in critical condition.

"Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition," the league said in a statement.

"Our thoughts are with Damar and the Buffalo Bills. We will provide more information as it becomes available."

Meanwhile, the NFLPA has released the following statement:

"The NFLPA and everyone in our community is praying for Damar Hamlin. We have been in touch with Bills and Bengals players, and with the NFL," the NFLPA said in a tweet. "The only thing that matters at this moment is Damar’s health and well being."

Hamlin was originally selected with the 212th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2021 draft by the Bills, and he appears in 14 games during his rookie campaign.  So far this season, he's amassed 91 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games played.
