No surprise: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers named NFL MVP

He's won the award for the 2nd straight year.

While it looked like the future for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the Frozen Tundra of Wisconsin was up in the air prior to this season, he delivered another vintage Rodgers-esque season (of course, after the horrifying Week 1 setback).

And he's being rewarded by the NFL. For the second consecutive year and fourth time in his career, Rodgers was named the League's Most Valuable Player:

During the 2021 season, Rodgers led the Packers to their third straight NFC North championship while registering 4,115 passing yards along with 40 touchdowns, four interceptions and 69.2 quarterback rating.

However, Green Bay's season ended prematurely with a stunning divisional round postseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Following the loss, Rodgers stated that he's going to take some time to consider all options and could reveal his decision later this month.
