A fan attending yesterday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium died after sustaining injuries from an apparent fall from an escalator in the venue, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety Department. He was given care by emergency responders in the stadium and transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Steelers have released the following statement:
"We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today," the Steelers said in a statement. "We are working with local authorities and helping their investigation into the matter. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the guest's family."
