It looks as though the Aaron Rodgers era with the Green Bay Packers has officially come to an end!
While speaking with media members this afternoon, Packers president Mark Murphy all but officially confirmed that the future Hall of Fame quarterback has played his last game with the only organization that he's ever suited up for.
"Very few players play for only one team," Murphy said. "Obviously Brett (Favre) had a good career. Aaron had a good career here.”
The Packers have already granted Rodgers permission to speak to the New York Jets, and he's already met with Jets team executives.
“Yeah, I mean, unless, if things don’t work out the way that we would want them,” Murphy about a scenario in which Rodgers would return in 2023. “Yeah, he is obviously a great player.”
“It’s about finding what he wants and what we want,” Murphy continued. “And hopefully, it can be a win-win.”
It sounds as though we've entered the Jordan Love era with the Packers.
