Last April, we learned that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins lost his life after he was hit by a truck while he was walking on the highway in Florida.

Pittsburgh Steelers director of communications Burt Lauten shared through his Twitter account today that the organization's players will wear #3 on their helmets this season in memory of their former teammate.

Aged 24, the former Ohio State's QB played 2 seasons with the Washington Commanders. In 16 games, he completed 267 passes for 2804 yards which resulted in 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions before he was released by Washington on December 28, 2020.

Drafted 15th overall in 2019, Haskins signed a $2.54 million contract as a restricted free agent with the Steelers, though he never played a game with Pittsburgh.

Great gesture by the organization.
