The Dallas Cowboys are currently in the midst of their meeting with free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. tonight, which includes taking in a Dallas Mavericks game to watch local superstar Luka Doncic take on the Phoenix Suns at American Airlines Arena.

Should Beckhm ultimately decide to sign with the Cowboys, he'll give them another top notch offensive weapon that they can utilize in their quest to go the distance in the postseason.

But could this make another member of the team expendable? According to Harrison Reno of Sports Illustrated, a potential Beckham signing could mean that Dalton Schultz could soon be out the door.

Take a look:

“The white-hot interest in free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would lead you to believe that the Cowboys are confident in their financial flexibility,” says Reno. “But something has to give … and the emergence of two rookie tight ends helps make a case as to why the Cowboys may not re-sign Schultz.”

“In reality, what Dallas has developed here is smart,” Reno continued. “Affordable rookie contracts represent a key way to ‘beat the cap’ … in this case maybe both eventually making Dalton Schultz expendable while making Odell Beckham Jr. affordable.”

As you may remember, Schultz is currently playing this season on the franchise tag after the two sides were unable to come to a contract agreement during the offseason. So far this year in nine starts, Schultz has racked up 33 receptions for 310 yard and three touchdowns, while averaging 34.4 yards per week.
