Could the Dallas Cowboys be targeting Kyle Pitts?
Pitts, who was drafted No. 4 overall by the Falcons in the 2021 NFL Draft, has been hampered by injury as well as usage issues. And with Jonnu Smith emerging, the thought was that Pitts could soon be eligible to be moved, and that Jerry Jones could come calling.
As you remember, it was Jones who was said to be “infatuated” with Pitts in the Draft. Instead, after he was taken by Atlanta, the Cowboys selected Micah Parsons with the 12th overall pick.
However, according to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, it’s just not going to happen - at least right now.
“The Cowboys are always looking to bolster their offense, so when I heard a show say Dallas should call Atlanta to see if Kyle Pitts is available, I checked into it. A source with the Falcons’ answer when I asked ‘LOL. No way.’” Slater tweeted.
