Report: Green Bay Packers to target elite cornerback!
This would be a major addition if it holds true.
The Football Feed
While it's just under a year away now, the Green Bay Packers are expected to take a major swing in the 2024 NFL Draft.
While they have a well-stocked cornerback group led by Jaire Alexander along with Rasul Douglas and Eric Stokes, the thought is that they could be targeting Ga'Quincy "Kool-Aid" McKinstry of the Alabama Crimson Tide when it comes time to make their pick next year.
Take a glance at what Dalton Wasserman of Pro Football Focus had to say about the matter:
"Green Bay’s success will depend on the roster construction around Jordan Love. Their pass catchers are talented but incredibly young. Their best chance to win will be through their running game and defense."
Kool-Aid McKinstry is someone who could make an immediate impact in 2024. He is currently PFF’s top-rated cornerback in the 2024 class and led the nation last season with 16 pass breakups. His 57.9 passer rating allowed is excellent considering he had 80 balls thrown his way, the eighth most in the country. The Packers have had issues finding someone to produce opposite Jaire Alexander. McKinstry could be the answer."
The former Alabama Mr. Football while playing at Pinson Valley High School, McKinstry was named to the SEC All-Freshman team after racking up 25 tackles with one sack and one interception with the Crimson Tide as a first year player at the collegiate level.
