Report: Micah Parsons could join Steelers
Definitely something for Cowboys and Steelers fans to keep tabs on.
Micah Parsons has emerged as one of the most valuable defensive players in the National Football League during his relatively short career with the Dallas Cowboys, and he's going to be in need of a new contract before long. If things don't work out with the Cowboys, could he consider joining the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Parsons, who is a native of Pennsylvania and who also played collegiately at Penn State, could consider taking his talents back to his native state according to Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr., who wrote the following on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account:
"Parsons has no interest in playing anywhere but with the Cowboys. He said it’s important for his legacy and doesn’t want to bounce around. But if he hypothetically did go home later in his career it would be to join the Pittsburgh Steelers not the Philadelphia Eagles, partly because of Mike Tomlin."
So far in his career, Parsons has racked up an impressive 213 tackles, 40.5 sacks, eight pass deflections and seven forced fumbles. He earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2021, has earned three Pro Bowl nominations, and has twice been named a First Team All Pro.
