Schefter: Packers WR Randall Cobb to miss remainder of regular season
This doesn't help things....
The Green Bay Packers have been without the services of wide receiver Randall Cobb after he suffered a groin injury in their November 28 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
According to head coach Matt LaFleur, Cobb suffered “a pretty significant injury” and would be out for “a while.” And now, the next step has been taken.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Cobb has undergone core muscle surgery and will miss the remainder of the regular season, with the goal being to return for the playoffs:
Cobb is currently ranked third on the Packers with 28 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns.
"Cobby's going to out for a while; he had a pretty significant injury," Lafleur explained. "That's unfortunate because I thought he has done such an amazing job when given the opportunity. We were talking about just his targets on third down alone."
