Here's how they'll roll the rest of the year.

Things have not gone according to plan in 2022 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, to put it nicely. Not only did their experiment in replacing the legendary Ben Roethlisberger with Mitchell Trubisky fail, 1st round draft selection Kenny Pickett hasn't exactly lit the world on fire since replacing the former under center.

Head coach Mike Tomlin has caught plenty of flak from fans and pundits alike, who are wondering why he hasn't made a change to his coaching staff, especially regarding the status of the maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada. Tomlin has stated repeatedly that he won't be making any changes, despite increasing pressure to do so in order to help their stagnating offense.

And for fans who are worried about potentially seeing Trubisky again at some point for the Steelers this season, they needn't be - barring injury, of course.

“Kenny is our guy,” said Steelers QB Coach Mike Sullivan about their quarterback going forward this season. “We feel good about him. Kenny continues to improve. We know there are some growing pains that are associated with that.”

“We are really pleased with his work ethic. His competitiveness, learning from his mistakes and got to keep fighting and clawing forward."

“He’s getting a birth by fire,” Sullivan continued. “He’s being exposed. You go on the road at Buffalo with some great defenses he’s played. Some great pass rushes he’s had against Philadelphia. It gives him an opportunity to learn from those experiences and to continue to grow and develop and reinforce his confidence.”

“It’s tough. He’s a tough young man and we are expecting good things from him.”

The Steelers will continue their schedule next week against the New Orleans Saints, as they are currently in their bye week.
