At 33 years of age and having just played in his 12th National Football League season, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward has played a major role in the success of his team on the field. This past season was a particularly strong one for him personally, with 74 tackles, 22 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Additionally, he ranked second on the team with 10.5 sacks while also leading the team with 14 tackles for loss. And thanks to his strong numbers, he's being honored by the NFL by being officially named to this year's Pro Bowl. He was originally named an alternate, but his spot was officially secured after Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs became unable to participate due to his team advancing to the Super Bowl.
Make it six straight selections to the Pro Bowl for Heyward! The events will be taking place from Thursday to Sunday, and will also feature a flag football game between representatives of the AFC and NFC.
