Steelers make decision on RB Najee Harris
This is sure to draw reaction from Steelers fans.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their decision with regards to the 5th year option on the contract of running back Najee Harris. According to multiple reports, they've declined to pick it up; but that doesn't mean that his future with the Steelers is necessarily in doubt beyond this season.
Had they picked up the option, he would have made $6.7 million in 2024.
Harris appeared in all 17 regular season games for the Steelers last season, racking up an impressive 1,035 yards (his third straight season of 1,000 rushing yards) along with eight rushing touchdowns.
Right now, it remains to be seen how Harris will be utilized in new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith's system, though fans can certainly expect that it will be different than maligned former OC Matt Canada.
