Steelers’ Mason Cole calls out the offense
It was obvious during yesterday’s game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are back to the drawing board after another embarrassing loss, this time to the Houston Texans in which they managed a mere six points on the board. The calls by fans and pundits for the termination of maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada continue to grow louder, and head coach Mike Tomlin has even indicated that changes are coming - though the specifics weren't disclosed.
For center Mason Cole, he stated the obvious - the Steelers were playing scared.
“There’s times we’re running the ball really well, then one bad or negative run will scare us away from it,” Cole said after the game. "And we’re behind the chains and we’re trying to catch up, and you get in bad situations. So, we just have to be more consistent across the board. We’re just not good enough, consistently, and it’s killing us right now."
“We’ve had these spurts where we look good and we’re not doing this soon enough in games. We’re not functioning efficiently. I think we’re waiting on splash plays and when we don’t get ’em, we’re not converting third downs and it’s just inefficient. Bad ball."
It really may only be a matter of time before the Steelers decide to pull the trigger and make a major move in the form of moving on from Canada, especially after he is starting to get called out by his own players. Right now, they're attempting to regroup before having to face the Baltimore Ravens next week at home.
