The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) recently released report cards for each of the National Football League teams, and the Pittsburgh Steelers came in at a stunning 31 of the 32 clubs.
Donny Chedrick, a producer with 93.7 The Fan, offered the following particularly brutal takes on Steelers ownership in the wake of their poor marks.
“The only thing going for Rooney in this case is that his dad set tremendous groundwork in his place and he has nobody more than Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger to also thank for how they carried it through up until pretty much now,” said Chedrick on 'The PM Team w/ Poni & Mueller'.
“To be honest with you and the way he has inherited it, he’s the worst owner in the city.”
“He never gets run through the mud the way Bob Nutting does and again, I’m not saying it's not warranted, the criticism that Bob Nutting gets, but we know what the perception is,” said Chedrick.
Bob Nutting is the owner of Major League Baseball's Pittsburgh Steelers, while the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins are owned by the Fenway Group.
