Steelers to interview 3 new coaching candidates

The Pittsburgh Steelers have already made a significant hire this offseason, bringing in former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as their new full-time offensive coordinator. The hope is that he'll be able to quell some of the bad memories that came from the maligned tenure of Matt Canada, who was let go by the franchise earlier in the season. 

However, it appears as though the Steelers are not done adding offensive pieces. According to a newly released report, they plan on interviewing a trio of candidates for an offensive assistant role.

The three names in question are Los Angeles Chargers passing game specialist Tom Arth, Tennessee Titans quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator Charles London and New York Jets wide receivers coach Zach Azzani. 

Arth has previous coaching stops in the collegiate ranks with Akron, Chattanooga and John Carroll before joining the Chargers in 2022. Meanwhile, London already has experience in working under Smith with the Atlanta Falcons, and has also worked for the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears. 

Azzani has worked as wide receivers coach for the Bears, Denver Broncos and New York Jets while also working collegiately with Florida, Central Michigan, Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
