The Dallas Cowboys are set to host the Green Bay Packers this weekend at AT&T Stadium as part of the National Football League's opening round of the postseason, and one of Dallas' key players is announcing his status for the game.
According to cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in their final regular season game against the Washington Commanders, he'll be suiting up.
"We have a great opportunity in front of us and trying to take full advantage of it, because, you know, it's not easy to get here. So we're going to need everybody," Gilmore said.
Additionally, he also hinted that he could employ the use of a harness for shoulder support.
"Maybe," he said. "A lot of guys have a lot of things throughout the season they have to play through," he said. "It’s just another thing for myself. I’ve played through a lot this year. It comes with the territory and you have to make it work."
Having Gilmore on the field will go a long way for the Cowboys, who are aiming to make a deep run in the playoffs in an effort to finally deliver an elusive Super Bowl victory for the first time since their dynasty days of the mid 1990s.
Sunday's game will begin Sunday afternoon at 4:30 PM EST.
