Tennessee Titans LB Bud Dupree arrested for misdemeanor assault
Another arrest out of the NFL world.
There's been yet another arrest of a National Football League player to report.
Tennessee Titans linebacker Bud Dupree was cited for a misdemeanor assault charge and turned himself in to Nashville police following a physical altercation at a Walgreen's store in early January.
His next scheduled court appearance is April 22.
According to authorities, the altercation began when a male employee of the store began taking a video of Dupree. In the aftermath, two employees were treated for a cut on their head and hand, respectively.
"We are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information," the Titans said in a statement shortly after the incident took place.
Dupree had just wrapped up the first season of a five year, $85 million pact with the Titans after having spent the first six years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 11 games played this season, Dupree registered three sacks, 17 tackles (including three for loss), eight quarterback hits, and a forced fumble.
