Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander departed today's game at Acrisure Stadium against the Green Bay Packers in the 1st quarter after suffering a lower body injury.
And now, the unfortunate news has been released that his season is over. The injury was confirmed to be a torn Achilles, which means that Alexander will not be available for the remainder of the 2023 campaign, no matter how long it goes for Pittsburgh.
Following the injury, Alexander paid a visit to the blue medical tent before immediately departing for the locker room, signaling that it wasn't something that he could just shake off.
Head coach Mike Tomlin previewed the grim update in his postgame remarks, saying that the lower body injury suffered by Alexander was "serious" and it "wasn't looking promising".
Best wishes to Alexander in his recovery and hopes for him returning next season.
