Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has already gone through some considerable difficulties in his personal life, seeing his marriage to Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen dissolve earlier this year thanks to his decision to un-retire and return to the NFL.

And now, as a former brand ambassador of the now bankrupt FTX, he's being named in a lawsuit along with other various celebrities including his ex-wife, comedian Larry David, Shaquille O'Neal, and Stephen Curry.

According to the suit, the company used well-known celebrities like Brady “to continue funneling investors into the FTX Ponzi scheme, and to promote and substantially assist in the sale of the [accounts], which are unregistered securities.”

The suit continues: “Plaintiffs and consumers in the (suit) have been aggrieved by Defendants’ unfair and deceptive practices and acts of false advertising by paying into the Ponzi scheme that was the Deceptive FTX Platform and in the amount of their lost investments.”

Additionally, the suit states that the defendants “have never disclosed the nature, scope, and amount of compensation they personally received in exchange for the promotion of the Deceptive FTX Platform: and didn’t perform “any due diligence prior to marketing these FTX products to the public.”
