According to Ian Rapport, NFL Network insider, Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry could be back on the field sooner than what expected.
More than a month after he broke his foot, Henry's rehab is going very well. Titans organization are confident that Henry will be playing if the team make the playoffs. King Henry had a surgery on November 2nd.
Henry was expected to miss 6 to 10 weeks of action. If the Titans are playing in the Wild Card game, it would be week 10 of Derrick Henry recovery time. So technically, even without that news that he could be back sooner, he should be able to play the Wild Card game.
Mike Vrabel said that Henry has a doctor appointment next week and he should know more after that. Having his star player around the team is very important for him.
"I know that he'll be around our team as soon as he can. I know that it's important to him. I know that'll be important to our team. We'll have to move on without him in the short term."
-Mike Vrabel
Titans are 2-2 without their King and are in first place of the AFC South with a 8-4 record. They are currently winning 17-0 against the Jacksonville Jaguars with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
