Watch out world, because controversial and troubled former National Football League wideout Antonio Brown has announced that he's making a comeback.
However, he won't be suiting up in the NFL, but rather for the Albany Empire of the Arena Football League, which are owned through a trust of which Brown is a representative.
According to reporter Roger Wyland, Brown informed him of the news:
"Albany Empire Owner Antonio Brown told me he is going to suit up and play for the Empire as soon as their next home game May 27th at MVP Arena," Wyland reported on Twitter. "Brown is a 7 time NFL Pro-Bowler WR who played 10 years with the Steelers."
In his last NFL season in 2021 prior to his highly publicized public desertion of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he appeared in seven games and hauled in 42 passes for 545 yards and four touchdowns. Over the course of his NFL career, he caught 928 receptions for 12,291 yards and 83 touchdowns.
