Jalen Thompson signed a three-year contract extension with the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.
The 24 year old former Washington State athlete's new contract is worth 40 million for three years. As reported by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, 24.5 million is guaranteed in this agreement.
Drafted in 2019 by the Cards, he will be playing his fourth season with the organization. Since 2019, he has played 37 games where he has made 4 interceptions for a total of 67 yards.
#34 will complete the safety duo which was already occupied by Budda Baker. According to several experts, it will be one of the best safety tandems this season in the NFL. Last season, he had a great campaign making 121 tackles and 3 interceptions in 17 games.
This is a very smart and important signing for the Arizona organization.
