In the heat of competition, there are bound to be tempers boiling over - even amongst teammates in Training Camp. But as the New York Giants found out, the frustration and tempers spilled over into including a member of the coaching staff.
After Saquon Barkley ran over Aaron Robinson, tempers began to flair that eventually culminated in pushing and shoving; eventually, offensive line coach Bobby Johnson made his way into the scuffle and was promptly met with a physical confrontation with linebacker Cam Brown.
Afterwards, head coach Brian Daboll addressed the team with a simple message.
“He says that, ‘Losing teams do that.’ So at the end of the day, we’ve got to come out there and be physical, but we’ve got to be smart as well,” rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger said of Daboll’s message.
