Shocking Skip Bayless comments over Damar Hamlin
He certainly wasn't thinking.

By now, you've certainly seen the choking and scary footage of what took place on Monday Night Football earlier this week, during which Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and required CRP and the use of an AED to stabilize him before being rushed to a local hospital via ambulance.
Hamlin remains hospitalized in critical condition, though recently released updates regarding his health have been of a positive nature.
However, "Undisputed" host Skip Bayless found himself embroiled in controversy with an extremely tone-deaf tweet right in the middle of the frightening incident, seemingly caring more about the game itself that carried heavy postseason implecations.
“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how?” Bayless tweeted as medical personnel tended to Hamlin on the field in Cincinnati. “This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
Bayless' co-host, Shannon Sharpe, was so taken aback by the comments that he didn't show up to work the following day. Meanwhile, there was plenty of criticism and backlash directed at Bayless on social media.
The likes of NBA free-agent guard Isaiah Thomas weighed in with scathing reactions:
“I hope they fire you bro!!! For you to even THINK of the game is very sad," Thomas wrote on Twitter.
Former NBA champion Matt Barnes: “Someone gonna slap the [s–t] outa skip one of these days.”
NFL Hall of Fame Terrell Owens: "I hope you LOSE YOUR JOB!!!"
Bayless would issue the following apology on social media:
“Nothing is more important than that young man’s health. That was the point of my last tweet. I’m sorry if that was misunderstood but his health is all that matters. Again, everything else is irrelevant. I prayed for him & will continue to.”
