BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys sign Colin Kaepernick to multi-year deal!
He's back in the NFL!
Of course, Kaepernick hasn't actually been offered a job in the NFL. However, he has officially reached out to Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks.
Kaepernick became synonymous with social justice reform when, as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, knelt during the national anthem in 2016 to protest police brutality and social inequality. Kaepernick has not seen NFL action since January of 2017 with 49ers. He opted out of his contract in March 2017 and has has been a free-agent ever since.
Of course, it wasn't too long ago that he participated a much-hyped workout in an attempt to make a return to the pro stage. And despite several teams reportedly showing interest, none took a waiver on him. He also missed out on a chance to join the XLF, as they balked at his reported salary demands.
