Brett Favre believes Aaron Rodgers is finished with Green Bay Packers!

One franchise legendary quarterback speaks about another.

They're both the greatest quarterbacks not only in franchise history, but in the history of the NFL. And the master believes that the apprentice is leaving town.

Former Green Bay Packers Super Bowl-winner and Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre believes that Aaron Rodgers has played his last game with the franchise, which was a disappointing postseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers that saw the team score only one touchdown and limp out of what was a season with heavy expectations.

“I think we may have seen the last of Aaron in Green Bay,” Favre said. “I don’t know that’s certain. It’s just a gut [feeling]. He may try his hand somewhere else now.”

Of course, Favre himself left the Packers and was succeeded by Rodgers. The former would soon suit up for the New York Jets for one season, and then did the unthinkable by joining Green Bay's hated divisional rival in the Minnesota Vikings.

“I knew that [the Packers] were ready to make a move in a different direction,” Favre said of his departure. “I think it was just time in their minds to ‘See what we can do with Aaron.’ ”

“Nowadays, guys play a lengthy career with a team and move on,” Favre said. “Obviously, Tom Brady. Joe Montana. Peyton Manning. So it’s not uncommon for guys to switch teams after a long, productive career somewhere else — and my advice would be, ‘If your gut’s telling you, I want to try my hand somewhere else, it’s kind of gotten stale or stagnant here,’ then go give it a try. I think sometimes it’s reinvigorating.”

Of course, Rodgers' future in Green Bay appeared bleak at best before this season even began, as he was at odds with management over the direction of the franchise.

Rodgers himself stated earlier this week that he's going to take some time to consider all options and could reveal his decision a month from now.
