The Carson Wentz era with the Washington Commanders has officially come to an end this afternoon.
According to multiple reports, the team has released Wentz, saving them $26.17 million in cap space.
He was sent to Washington from the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 in exchange for second and seventh-round picks prior to last season. In the 2022 NFL season, Wentz racked up 1,755 yards with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions, posting a 2-5 record.
