Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch suffers frightening injury

As if the Dallas Cowboys losing both C.J. Goodwin and KaVontae Turpin to injury over the course of tonight's game against the San Francisco 49ers wasn't enough, they had to deal with an especially frightening injury to linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.

Medical staff tended to him on the field, and appeared to be giving special concern to his neck area.

The good news is that he was eventually able to walk off the field under his own power.
