The Pittsburgh Steelers have been without reigning Defensive Player of the Year TJ Watt since he suffered a pectoral tear in Week 1, and while the thought was that he could return by next week, that’s now officially been put off after it was revealed he recently went under the knife.
However, the Steelers were thankfully able to pull off the upset victory last week against Tom Brady and the underwhelming Tampa Bay Buccaneers, earning their second victory of the season. But could they be getting a major boost to their lineup in short order?
Watt himself took to social media and set it ablaze by posting a picture of himself looking as though he's about to hit the practice field:
A Watt return to action would be a major improvement for the Steelers, needless to say. Over the course of the Week 1 game he participated in before departing due to his injury, Watt amassed six tackles, three tackles for loss, and an interception.
The Steelers take on the Miami Dolphins from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami this weekend.
