While there still remains plenty of fuss over whether or not the Dallas Cowboys will be bringing aboard free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., there is another top player that they've been linked to who also has played for the New York Giants in his career.
According to a recently released report from CBS Sports, they're predicting that the Cowboys could bring aboard Giants running back Saquon Barkley:
"Barkley is certainly worthy of an earlier pick, but at a devalued position, you can see why he'd slide," CBS said. "With Tony Pollard headed for free agency and Ezekiel Elliott's future unclear, the Cowboys could give Dak Prescott an unexpected boost of skill talent by pairing him with the rejuvenated Giants star."
This certainly would be an interesting move for the Cowboys, as Tony Pollard continues his recovery from a broken leg suffered during this past season's playoffs combined with the uncertainty with Ezekiel Elliott.
Last season with New York, Barkley racked up over 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns on 295 carries. His strong play helped the Giants reach the divisional round of the postseason.
Should Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones once again swing for the fences and bring Barkley aboard, it certainly would raise plenty of eyebrows across the world of football.
