Critical update released on Raiders QB Jimmy Garappolo
Things may not look so bad after all for him.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garappolo is now in Sin City, having agreed to three-year deal, reportedly worth more than $72 million, with the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, the bad news for Garappolo is that he failed a recent physical examination due to a lingering injury that he suffered last year. He's also not been able to participate in OTA's. Due to a clause in his contract, the Raiders can essentially void the deal.
But all isn't lost for Garappolo. According to head coach Josh McDaniels, he has "no anxiety" about the situation.
"I have no anxiety," he said of the QB's status during a Wednesday news conference. "I'm not going to put a timeline or a day on anything, but like I said, I have no anxiety."
Meanwhile, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapopport, Garappolo "is expected to be ready long before the start of training camp."
This would essentially put to rest the whirlwind of rumors that suggested Tom Brady, who is now a minority owner of the Raiders, could be their Week 1 starter. In fact, Brady was even listed at one point as the odds-on favorite to be starting under center for the Raiders in the fall after news broke of the Garappolo failed physical.
Last year with the Niners, Garappolo racked up 2,437 passing yards with 16 touchdown passes and four interceptions.
