The Dallas Cowboys were unable to contain their rivals yesterday, losing to the San Francisco 49ers in blowout fashion at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara. The 49ers improved to 5-0, while Dallas dropped to 3-2.
For quarterback Dak Prescott, he admitted that this was the roughest loss of his career and that he didn't see it coming.
"Didn't see it coming," he said. "Put everything into this and got punched in the mouth. Only a couple weeks ago, it was humbling against Arizona, but this may be the most humbling game I've ever been a part of."
Prescott finished 14-of-24 for 153 yards and a touchdown, but also threw an interception. He would go on to say that he felt good about everything going into the game, but were simply beat.
"Felt good about the preparation, felt good about everything honestly coming into this game and they beat us in every aspect."
Things won't get any easier for the Cowboys as they hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers next week before returning home to AT&T Stadium to face the Los Angeles Rams. They're going to have to rebound in a big way if they want to avoid losing too much ground in the division.
