While it certainly wasn't the greatest first half of football in his distinguished National Football League career, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott would rebound along with the rest of his teammates to enjoy a 24-6 victory this afternoon at AT&T Stadium over the visiting and struggling Detroit Lions. With the win, the Cowboys improved to 5-2 on the 2022 season, while the Lions dropped to a hapless 1-5.

Prescott would finish with 207 yards while also completing 19 of 25 passing attempts with one touchdown, and afterward he spoke of the necessity of his putting his teammates in the best position to win.

"A win's a win," Prescott said in his postgame media remarks. "I really don't care how it gets done, a win's a win. I thought it was going to be pretty cool to leave this game without a touchdown, honestly. That's kind of where my head is right now. I know how talented this team is. I know what we can be. It's not about me. It's about all of us, and I'm just trying to make sure I play my part and make sure I put this team in the right situation each and every play."

Of course, this was Prescott's first game back since undergoing surgery on his injured thumb, an injury that kept him out of action since Week 1. And it's certainly tough to look at the permanent scar that he'll have on his hand:
