Dallas Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence makes NFL history with new deal!
Pen has been put to paper and it's official!
Following two Pro Bowl seasons, DeMarcus Lawrence was rewarded for his efforts by the Dallas Cowboys with a five-year, $105 million extension in April 2019.
And while Lawrence reportedly recently rejected a request by the Cowboys to take a pay cut, the two sides have come to an agreement on an extension. And with the new deal, Lawrence has made NFL history.
The Cowboys have signed Lawrence to a three year deal worth a fully guaranteed $30 million, becoming the first defensive end in NFL history to have the first seven years of his contract fully guaranteed.
While playing in only seven games last season, Lawrence amassed 21 tackles along with three sacks, a defensive touchdown, two forced fumbles and five pass deflections.
