What seemed like it would never happen has actually come to pass earlier today.
Earlier last season, controversial Washington Commanders team owner Dan Snyder doubled down on his statement that he would never sell, and he revealed a plan to make his fellow team owners pay via blackmail if indeed he was forced to sell.
However, he's now reached a deal to sell his team, and it doesn't appear as though there was any coercion needed. Snyder will be selling the Commanders for $6 billion to a group that is led by Josh Harris, who is the co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA and the New Jersey Devils of the NHL.
