Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's 2022 season is very much in doubt after the NFL announced last week that they'd be appealing the six game suspension he received with the goal of making it much longer; Watson's issues stem from multiple accusations of sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions.
For his former coach with the Clemson Tigers in Dabo Sweeney, he explains that Watson and himself have kept in touch, and has also weighed in on the troubles that the controversial quarterback is facing.
“I’ve communicated with Deshaun over the last year or so quite a bit,” Swinney said Sunday. “He’s kind of at the back end of it. He’s been through all the legal stuff and now he’s kind of dealing with the last part of it. Not quite finality of it, but eventually it will be and he’ll move forward.”
It will be former New Jersey AG Peter C. Harvey, who was appointed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who will be overseeing the NFL's appeal of the suspension.
