Jerry Jones leaves door open for Ezekiel Elliott!
Are the two sides not finished with one another after all?

The Ezekiel Elliott era with the Dallas Cowboys appeared to have officially come to a close earlier this offseason, as the team cut ties with the popular running back that they made their 4th overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State University.
So far, he's yet to find a new NFL team despite having allegedly come up with a "wish list" of teams that declined to show any interest. Despite establishing himself as one of the top players at the position in the NFL, a myriad of injuries combined with career low numbers last season along with the emergence of Tony Pollard would seal Elliott's fate in Dallas.
Or did it?
According to Cowboys general manager and team owner Jerry Jones, the door is open for a potential Elliott return. The news was first reported by Dallas writer Michael Gehlken:
“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones called a potential signing of WR DeAndre Hopkins ‘unlikely.' Has not ruled out a return for RB Ezekiel Elliott; both Elliott and team are evaluating their respective futures, he said,” Gehlken shared on Twitter.
Just how much would you like to see Elliott come back to the Cowboys in 2023 after it had appeared as though the two sides were finished with one another, especially given the fact that Jones doesn't appear keen on bringing in free agent offensive weapon DeAndre Hopkins?
We will be keeping our eyes peeled for any further developments with this interesting situation.
